Chef's Hat

I made this as a Christmas present for someone:

Bland to Bling

I turned an old, off-white lampshade into a cool (kind of retro) lampshade.  With just a little shiny white Christmas garland and a staple or two.  It was just meant to be a Christmas decoration, but it's so awesome I might just keep it that way.  (The pictures might not do it justice)

"Ditty" Bag

I followed a pattern for a small, round, bag called a ditty bag.  It has ties at the top, and pockets on the outside.  I'm not sure what Ditty means, but here it is: (It was my first round project)

A Much More Organized Sewing Room

Someone in my neighborhood threw away a dresser and two night tables that are perfect for my sewing room!  Now all of my crafting supplies are tucked away neatly in drawers.

A Lot To Do

I'm working on several projects at the moment, so I'm having a blast!  A tote bag for my grandma, a tote bag for my mom, a sewing apron for me, and an apron for a friend.  I'll post pictures as soon as I finish any of these projects.

Abstract Art

Just a couple of things I've painted:

My (Mostly) Organized Sewing Room

A little messy from rice bag stuff everywhere, but all my pretty little threads are in a row.

Scissors Case/Wrist Pin Cushions

A wrist pin cushion - to make my sewing life easier

I can always keep my sewing scissors handy with this scissors case.  It can also be used as a glasses case.  It's reinforced with interfacing, of course (most of my projects are)

This is a wrist pin cushion that I made for my Grandmother.  I used elastic so she wouldn't have to Velcro the strap every time.

Rice Bags, Rice Bags, Everywhere!

This is a sample of the Rice Bags that I have been making.  This is 6 of the 18 I have made.  They are much longer than the picture shows (22in).  These are so quick and easy to make, and I love them so much.  They do use quite a bit of rice, though.  I have used up the 50lbs bag that I bought, plus a 10lbs bag.

Not-so-Quick-and-Easy Tote Bag

This Black and Pink tote bag took me over twelve hours to make (over a week's worth of sewing)!  I had no idea it would take me so long, but it was worth it.  This was the first big project I have made with no help.  I just needed some advice on one complex direction.
